Archbishop Stepinac High School, conducts its Summer STEP Program - Sports Training & Educational Prep for boys entering the seventh, eighth and ninth (Stepinac registrants only) grades.
This program allows for daily academic and athletic instruction on our beautiful 24-acre campus.
Each day, students will receive 2 1/2 hours of educational instruction focusing on the major subjects: English, Math and Laboratory Sciences. Study and organizational skills techniques will be incorporated into the class lessons. For those boys entering eighth grade a TACHS preparation course will be the curriculum. Each week we will take a field trip that will reinforce and enhance class lessons.
At the conclusion of the morning educational session, each student will have time to decompress, relax and have lunch (not provided).
When lunch has concluded, each student will attend 2 1/2 hours of a comprehensive instructional/ recreational athletic program. Sports and activities include baseball, basketball, flag football, soccer and lacrosse. Stepinac’s Athletic Department will conduct guest lectures and demonstrations. For those students who prefer activities other than sports, an afternoon program is available.
As this is a two-week program, each weekly session’s academic instruction will be continuous and not repetitive.
The cost for the entire two-week program is $425. Students who cannot attend the two-week session may attend one week at a cost of $250.
